When I Conquered a Mountain…

Every one has their own role models and idols, almost like actors, singers, politicians etc... Or ultimately their father in a first question... but I worship the most unique person in this world… no one knows about him at all (except ultra-crazy people like me does), and he is Christopher McCandless…

American wanderer and traveler Christopher McCandless was born on February 12, 1968 in Southern California. After graduating he began to travel, donating much of the money his family had given him. He wandered through Arizona, California and North Dakota, after hiking for some time through the snow McCandless located an old bus used as a shelter for hunters in the area. He used it in his beginning to live off the land, and at first had some success poaching and hunting. McCandless was found a few weeks later, dead in his sleeping bag (death by starvation). His journal indicates that he’d managed to remain in the area for at least 189 days.

There goes the McCandless story. Besides his criticizing life & theory he thought me just like the Lord Byron says in a quotation..
“There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more.”
[Lord Byron, Childe Harold's Pilgrimage]
See.. Interesting lines, this is and will be my oath based on my adventure life… this article (I don’t know that it would be called as an article…) is the mirror of my own expression when I made a trekking trip to a mountain. I used to travel a lot, when I plan for a new trip I assures that less people are there, because I hate society, their loud conversations and mozel toves etc.. So I prefer a lonely place to set up my trekking or journey. According to me a trip must be unscheduled & beyond imaginations…
When I walk to the top of that mountain, I happen to hear all the noises except humans own freaky noise, the turtle shaped snow flake passes along with me to the destiny, I don’t know how that happened that in that shaded way, but I am witnessed as an audience for the mighty jungle plays… such as the “Othello” played by squirrels and the “Macbeth” played by birds and all that… a silent sound imagination of 1000 Solo & Waltz violins made their part as an eager climax to their plays… I dropped the literature imagination, and continued my walk, soon the way to the jungle increased its height because it’s a leading path to the head mountain, and I felt that a double coated jacket which made from the Elves & natural droppings was happened to cover me… I said to myself “yes!! This is it.. The entrance to the mountain” again journey continues. I discovered that from the beginning I got a girl friend… A small river that floats along with the muddy path, she smiled all the time when I looked to her, she was a perfect shaped river, which drives a teenager in to his wild imaginations. I liked traveling with her, she danced & thrilled because of gaining an extra ordinary relationship bound with me. Then the sad session arrived – my muddy path turns the left & my sweet girl friend forced to turn right… I said good bye… her good bye was an innovative & unique one; she created a rose shaped drop by colliding her tiny little hands (humans calls like “waves”) into a rock. I brought that farewell rose from her, and said good bye once more to her. Then to the left…

From breaking up with my girl friend I met a new friend which can be called as a Rain, when I introduced my first step to the empire of the nature, he introduced his first step as a tiny little drop, a drop that contains the flourishing ecstasy of the almighty lord and the forest tie up. I walked into the forest, he came with me with simultaneously increasing lust towards the earth, and he showed his uncontrollable lust by pouring countless drops which has a shape like a pot at the beginning, sooner the shape changed like a Red Indian sphere, I thought, is anything happened to our relationship? Because he is in now bit of anger! Then I realized the truth that, he was neither my friend nor alley, he was my enemy! I ran thorough the brown colored unshaped road. Trees, plants, animals, birds all were silent & still. From that time, I had a special Time, double or triple of the standard second, because the Time was stopped to enrich my journey – incidents, I clearly saw rain drops showering like a Russian storm, and I got much time to avoid the drops,
He (the rain) was won on the chaos theory, to ruin my backpack & dresses. I said “no problem at all, my friend”. I threw my back packs & jackets and said “I am a human now…” and said a warm good bye to my partner…
I realized that I have made my journey to the top of that mountain, and
When I conquered that mountain, my hands were automatically flown together with the most purified and speedy wind… Yes!! I am the king of the worlds, what should I do? Or how can I not fall in love with the nature when I am at 6080 feet above sea level, 2˚ degree condition?

Now I fully gained the truth that the nature has always more value when we compared to the society. I got only a number of friends there, in that mountain - wind, sky and a set of birds. The rusty wind created my tent as an igloo so me as an Eskimo. My natural tempered coffee turned its 100˚ to 1˚ in a tick second, because the fog & temperature there caused my mind as I am in Alaskan Alaska or something. And for the first time I slept with no fear. I have to return, my journey has reached its end, I am sad because I love my nature than anything else in this world…I know the title “when I conquered a mountain” fails to communicate its real meaning to the readers, but they have to realize that no man in this universe could write his travel experience as the same as he saw. But they write for their own satisfaction and I did the same… I conclude this ‘thing’ by quoting some anonymous words…
“Pack a pillow and blanket… go... See the world… you will never regret it…”
